DONOR SPOTLIGHT: VALLEY OF THE SUN ACTIVE 20/30

How did you become involved with BGCS?
We have been proud supporters of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale since 2006. What started as making a donation has grown into a much deeper connection as we’ve seen firsthand the difference the Clubs make in the lives of kids and their families. Our group’s favorite way to give back is by volunteering at both programmatic events and fundraisers throughout the year. Whether it’s helping at a Club event like Trunk or Treat or supporting one of the organization’s fundraising events, we always leave inspired by the kids, the caring staff, and the incredible sense of community. Over the years, we’ve had the chance to meet so many wonderful people and hear stories that remind us why this mission is so important. It’s incredibly rewarding to know that our time, financial support, and involvement help create opportunities for kids to learn, grow, and build bright futures. Supporting BGCS has become something our group truly values, and we feel grateful to be part of an organization that makes such a meaningful impact in our community.

What motivates you to support BGCS?
We are passionate about supporting organizations that invest in the next generation and create opportunities for children to learn, grow, and succeed. Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale stands out because it provides more than just after-school programming. It offers a safe, welcoming environment where young people can build confidence, develop meaningful relationships with caring mentors, and discover their potential. Every child deserves the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their circumstances. Knowing that Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale provides academic support, healthy meals, enriching programs, and a place where youth feel safe and valued is what inspires us to support its mission and invest in the future of our community. 

Of the programs & services your gifts support, which are most meaningful to you?
Girls Night Out is one of the programs that is most meaningful to us because of the lasting impact it has on our young female Club members. This special evening is designed to empower, inspire, and build confidence by connecting girls with positive role models and mentors from our community. Through one-on-one mentorship, meaningful conversations, and engaging activities, Girls Night Out creates an environment where Club members feel seen, supported, and encouraged to dream big. The relationships built during the event help girls recognize their potential while reminding them that they have a community of caring adults who believe in them. It is an unforgettable experience that inspires confidence, strengthens connections, and leaves a lasting impact on both the girls and their mentors. 

What are you most excited about as you look to the future of the organization?
We are most excited about the opportunity to help Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale reach even more youth in the years ahead. Watching the organization continue to grow while staying committed to providing a safe, supportive place for children to learn, build confidence, and pursue their dreams is inspiring. We can’t wait to see the lives that will be changed because of the investments being made today.
