Donor Spotlight Q&A with Jack Fedor

Over the past six years, The George W. Bauer Family Foundation has donated $160,000 to the Mary Ellen and Robert McKee Branch of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale located in Fountain Hills. Since his first tour of the McKee Branch, Jack Fedor, a Trustee of the Bauer Foundation, has been a staunch advocate for the Clubs.

How did you first become involved with Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale?

I was introduced to the Boys & Girls Clubs by a board member who was eager to share her enthusiasm for the Clubs. We took a tour and were impressed by what we heard and observed. Based on our experience at the Club during that tour, the first George W. Bauer Family Foundation donation was made.

What motivates you to support BGCS?

We totally believe in the mission of the Clubs.

How have you seen philanthropy shape the organization?

Our donations have been earmarked for the McKee Branch in Fountain Hills. Each year, we are presented with a definitive list of items required for the maintenance and growth of the Branch. We are very pleased to be part of the process.

What are you most excited about as you look to the future of the organization?

The George W. Bauer Family Foundation looks for opportunities to support Foundations that provide essential services within communities. Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale more than satisfies this requirement. The dedication of the staff, along with the extensive list of programs offered, provide opportunities second to none. The GWB Family Foundation is excited and proud to be a long-term supporter of the organization. As a Trustee, I am thrilled to also be a legacy supporter of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale.
