TEENS DIALOGUE WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT THIS FRIDAY EVENING AT THE BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF GREATER SCOTTSDALE VESTAR BRANCH

PHOENIX, AZ – Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale Vestar Branch Keystone Club has partnered with the Phoenix Police Department for an event open to all teens ages 13-18 called “Dialogue with Law Enforcement.” Vestar Keystone Club, a leadership group of teens, is hoping that through this event, teens and law enforcement can build relationships and discuss the issues both sides encounter in today’s world.

Open to all teens ages 13-18

WHAT:

Teens will meet and interact with a variety of law enforcement officers who will be on site.

  • Canine Unit
  • SWAT Team
  • Phoenix Fire Department
  • Crime Scene Investigators
  • Explore a police cruiser
  • Police helicopter landing on the field

The night will wrap up with discussion groups led by teens with Law Enforcement Officers.

6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Officers & Teens Eat Together

7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Activity Rotations (Teens will move in groups and visit all officer activities including crime scene investigators, dispatch, police motorcycles, etc.)

7:00 p.m. – 7:15 p.m. Police Helicopter Landing

8:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. Move Inside to the Vestar Teen Center for Group Discussions

9:30 p.m.  – 10 p.m. Mingle & Chat with Officers

Event ends at 10pm.
