Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale serves thousands of youth at nine locations within Scottsdale, North Phoenix, Fountain Hills, the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, and the Hualapai Nation. Inside our doors, youth development professionals and mentors provide guidance, support, and encouragement in a safe environment to create an optimal Club experience. Our outcome-based programming assures that success is within reach for all kids and teens, no matter their circumstances.

History

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale was established in 1954 serving 282 youth in order to keep them productive and safe during critical non-school hours. Since then, our organization has added, built, and expanded Clubs served thousands upon thousands of more children and teens, and expanded our reach to communities across the Northeast Valley and in Indian Country. Today, thousands of youth call our Greater Scottsdale community home. In the last 70 years, our commitment to providing quality opportunities for youth has never wavered.

Boys & Girls Clubs of America

Boys & Girls Clubs of America had its beginnings in 1860 with three women in Hartford, Conn. believing that boys who roamed the streets should have a positive alternative, they organized the first Club. A cause was born. Today, Boys & Girls Clubs annually serve nearly 4 million youth through membership and community outreach, in some 4,000 Club locations throughout the country.
