Branch History
Named after longtime supporters of the Boys & Girls Club, the Hartley & Ruth Barker Branch opened its big blue doors in 1998. It officially replaced the Osborn Branch – the organization’s first location, which had been providing youth development services since 1958. The Hartley & Ruth Barker Branch provides national award-winning youth programming, year-round sports leagues, a technology lab, an art room, and a full-service teen center. It continues to be one of the most highly attended Branches of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale.
